What is the best way to search for a peer-reviewed article?
Answer
Peer-reviewed or scholarly articles are those that have been published in academic journals after going through a process called peer-review. This means that other academics in the field have looked at the article and determined that the research used meets the standards of the field.
Using library databases to find sources makes it much easier to identify what type of sources you are looking at and if the source has gone through the peer-review process. In most of the library databases (including Quick Search), you can select "peer-review/scholarly" as a filter on the side. This means that the results listed after applying the filter have all gone through the peer-review process.
